I can’t beleve this happened. I have spent the last couple hours writing an article and somehow lost the whole thing. The frustrations of a writer is what this article should be about but its not. I want to share some teamwork tips to help create a more productive work enviorment.
The rewards are so great if your team can work well together. If not it creates frustrations and anxiety.When things are going well team members will surprise you as hidden talents and strengths start to shine and the group is flowing together.
Here are five tips to a better working team.
Leadership: To have a team work well together there needs to be one person in the leadership role. A person who will motivate, inspire and make sure everyone is moving in the same direction.
Clarity: It should be clearly understood the purpose of the team. What are the teams goals? What is the teams purpose? What are we striving to accomplish as a team? Its so much easier for the team to stay on track if they have the clairification in the beginning.
Responsibility: As a team we need to have a clear understanding of what our responsibility is as a teamplayer. Everyone should know what their job is, when it will be expected and what the parameters are to work with.
Feedback: As we begin to share our own ideas with the team they should be supportive as well as positive whenever possible. This will help to create a comfortable enviorment where the team will take more chances and be creative. Learn how to give and receive negative feedback and criticism in a professional and respectful way. Amazing what a team can accomplish when all members can work together, believe in themselves and feel confident they are taking part.
Diversity: This probably is the most important tip of the five. Diversity is what makes a team great. By supporting the different strengths of your teammates and allowing each person to bring their unique qualities to the project, there can be some incredible surprises when we are open to doing things in new and different ways.
