Teamwork Tips

I can’t beleve this happened. I have spent the last couple hours writing an article and somehow lost the whole thing. The frustrations of a writer is what this article should be about but its not. I want to share some teamwork tips to help create a more productive work enviorment.
The rewards are so great if your team can work well together. If not it creates frustrations and anxiety. When things are going well team members will surprise you as hidden talents and strengths start to shine and the group is flowing together.

Here are five tips to a better working team.

Leadership: To have a team work well together there needs to be one person in the leadership role. A person who will motivate, inspire and make sure everyone is moving in the same direction.

Clarity: It should be clearly understood the purpose of the team. What are the teams goals? What is the teams purpose? What are we striving to accomplish as a team? Its so much easier for the team to stay on track if they have the clairification in the beginning.

Responsibility: As a team we need to have a clear understanding of what our responsibility is as a teamplayer. Everyone should know what their job is, when it will be expected and what the parameters are to work with.

Feedback: As we begin to share our own ideas with the team they should be supportive as well as positive whenever possible. This will help to create a comfortable enviorment where the team will take more chances and be creative. Learn how to give and receive negative feedback and criticism in a professional and respectful way. Amazing what a team can accomplish when all members can work together, believe in themselves and feel confident they are taking part.

Diversity: This probably is the most important tip of the five. Diversity is what makes a team great. By supporting the different strengths of your teammates and allowing each person to bring their unique qualities to the project, there can be some incredible surprises when we are open to doing things in new and different ways.

By applying these tips your team will work well together.

Are You Facing Mortgage Foreclosure?

While homeowners across America make headlines for high delinquency in mortgage payments and foreclosures, there is a light at the end of that tunnel if you would invest one hour of your time to listen to a presentation  with details on how this company that I am involved with works and how it can work for you.  I can not believe how close to home this unemployment situation has come. We have three sons in the building industry and all three have been affected with lay-offs in the last two years. Right now as I write this blog, all three are back at work. Praise God! Being in debt is normal they say but I want to be debt free and so that means working a little harder to tell Folks about this opportunity that I have taken advantage of and hope that people trust me enough to listen to me for 45 minute to an hour. It could be “your light at the end of the tunnel.”

According to Dave Ramsey in “The Total Money Makeover” he states that our first step should be having $1000.00 in the bank for emergencies like a flat tire, dead battery or a trip to the “emergency” room.  These are all emergencies. Some will say, “I can’t save $1000.00 because I don’t make that much. Well Dave suggests that you sell stuff and get on a budget. To help make this happen it was one of the reasons for me why I got involved with this wellness company. I also wanted to help others find financial freedom, safer homes and physical wellness. You ask, “Well how can this happen?” Like I said earlier, just give me one hour of your time and I will show you. When I look at our company monthly magazine and see all the Folks across the country who are making hundreds and thousands of dollars monthly I know that it can be a way of life for you and me. There are people who had very little when they signed up with our company and within a year had completely changed there financial status.  Lets get together and I will show you. Either by a three-way conference call , a webcast or both.  Lets set up an appointment today!

Eating Healthy

Healthy eating is not about strict nutrition philosophies, staying unrealistically thin, or depriving yourself of the foods you love. Rather, it’s about feeling great, having more energy, and keeping yourself as healthy as possible – all which can be achieved by learning some nutrition basics and incorporating them in a way that works for you.

By developing your own plan for healthy eating, you’ll be able to expand your range of healthy choices to include a variety of delicious foods. Using guidelines and tips for creating and maintaining a satisfying, healthy diet, you can learn how to approach food in a smarter, healthier way.

  • Listen to your body: Ask yourself if you are really hungry, and stop eating when you feel full. It actually takes a few minutes for your brain to tell your body that it has had enough food, so eat slowly. Eating just enough to satisfy your hunger will help you remain alert, relaxed and feeling your best, rather than stuffing yourself into a “food coma”!
  • Eat early, eat often: Starting your day with a healthy breakfast can jumpstart your metabolism, and eating the majority of your daily caloric allotment early in the day gives your body time to work those calories off. Also, eating small, healthy meals throughout the day, rather than the standard three large meals, can help keep your metabolism going and ward off snack attacks.

Healthy eating: The basics on carbs, protein and fat

Despite what certain fad diets would have you believe, we all need a balance of carbohydrates, protein, fat, fiber and vitamins to sustain a healthy body. But what exactly is a carb? And how much protein is too much? Understanding dietary guidelines is the first step in developing your own healthy eating plan.

This is a challenge for all of us I think. With our busy lifestyles, running here, running there we tend to eat out, stop off at the fast food restaurants, order a family favorite of pizza to take home and the list goes on.  To stay healthy we need to change our eating habits and get plenty of rest, exercise and drink lots of water. Balance is the key.  I take supplements that keep my “numbers” at normal levels. Try to get exercise by walking. (I wished I was as faithful as my husband) and riding bike.

Just remember, BALANCE!
